Lakeview explained their two-step process to first kill algae and mold, and then lighten the wood with oxalic acid. Other bidders were just going to wash the deck with bleach. This convinced me to award the job to Lakeview, even though they weren't the lowest bidder. Quality was more important to me than price, and I got great value for the price.
